D1- Justify design choices

 

I will use a navy blue as the main background to contrast with the NAR logo. The red in the top image fades in from the navy blue when you scroll down I will make it fade to red because this is better than keeping it all navy blue, it works well as its a good contrast from the original colour as it slowly fades in 

I will have the magazine front cover as the biggest image as I want that to be the first thing people see when they come on my site i also will have a carrousel to show album covers i did this to get rid of some empty space and make it more lively.

 

On the music page I will strategically place the both mix tapes on the top next to each other and directly underneath I will place the singles of each artist I will place 4 of the artist most played songs on the right side of the screen really big so they are more noticeable. All these songs will be embedded from SoundCloud this means the songs can be played on the site making our users stay on the site, this is also a method of interactivity.

On my contact page I've decided to make it really sleek and modern looking this is because I want this be separate from the rest of the site which is really rapped based. I found it best for to make this page look like this so it would look like a very professional site with this modern design for the contact page.

 

For all of my writing except the contact page I use the font Work sans semi bold I use this one as it looks aesthetically pleasing for the contents page I use works sans extra light.

I will use yellow bullet points as its the same colour as the secondary colours on the magazine and because of the navy blue background it contrasts quiet well between the two colours as one is very bright and the other is the opposite and is lot darker. I will also add videos on this page to get rid of some of the empty space and make it seem more lively. I will add a few images such as the song covers for Hic-Up, no sleep and Rollie freestyle.

this is what I want my websites menu bar to look like, I feel like this is an excellent design because of the contrast between the NAR logo and the white strip background its very vibrant I also will use a white box menu bar which I feel will sit really well in the position its in.  how the writing is black and is the direct opposite of the white also the New Age Rappers mag writing uses the Kiona font which is a downloadable font from DaFont and this font is also used in my magazine front cover.
